Real finished projects below

You are here because

The yard has to fit the subdivision and your plans.

A neighbor's turf is not proof

You saw turf down the street, and you want to know what applies to your own property and association.

Borders and sprinklers to keep

You want planted borders and irrigation zones worked around, not ripped out by default.

Pets or golf practice

You may want a dog zone or a practice area without turning the whole lawn into one thing.

Where does rinse water go?

A pet zone needs a practical cleaning route and an outlet for rinse water.

Which county applies?

Missouri City lies mainly in Fort Bend County with a portion in Harris County, so mapping tools differ by address.

Heat and upkeep

You want the real summer trade-offs and the upkeep that stays with you.

Real finished projects

Finished yards from our gallery.

These are real finished TurfMastro projects from our gallery. We have not labeled them by city, so treat them as general examples of finish and layout, including a putting green and lawn. They are not before and after pairs.

How it works

Three steps. No guessing.

  1. Free on-site quote and written scope

We mark the area you want, note borders and irrigation that stay, look at drainage, and write the scope down.

  2. Removal, compacted base, premium turf

Old grass hauled away, base prepared with drainage, then turf installed, seamed, edged and infilled by our own crew.

  3. Final walkthrough and written warranty

We walk the finished work with you, go over care, and hand over the written warranty.

Straight answers

What Missouri City homeowners ask first.

Upfront cost and scope

Our standard installation includes drainage, base preparation, old-grass haul-away, a free design concept and cooling infill. None of these is a paid add-on. Unusual site work, if your yard needs it, is shown as its own scope in your written quote.

Activity zone, not the whole lawn

A putting green does not need to consume the whole lawn, and a pet zone should include a cleaning route and an outlet for rinse water. Mark the activity area separately from planted borders and irrigation zones that remain. See putting greens.

How it looks in real light

Compare samples at home, morning and evening, and look at finished lawns in the gallery. We design the layout so edges and transitions look natural against your house.

Heat

Turf gets hot in direct summer sun. Cooling infill is included, but it does not make the surface safe for bare feet or paws and we do not quote a temperature drop. Plan shade and check by hand. Read the heat guide.

Address, county and association

Bring your actual address and association name. Verify your county before you use a Harris County mapping tool. A neighbor's turf is not proof that your project is allowed, so get written approval first. See the Texas HOA guide.

Drainage, upkeep and warranty

Drainage is part of every standard install. We cannot prevent flooding, and we explain where water is meant to go. You skip mowing but still clear debris, brush and rinse. Written warranty terms are in your quote. Read the drainage guide.

Ten questions before buying

Common questions.

Is artificial grass worth it if I already pay a lawn service?

It depends on what you spend now and what you want from the yard. Turf removes mowing, but not all upkeep: you still brush it, clear leaves and debris, and rinse or spot clean. We do not promise a payback period. Compare your yearly lawn costs against the installed price in your quote and decide on that. In Missouri City, compare your lawn spend with the quote for the exact area you want to convert.

Can turf replace my dead St Augustine lawn?

Yes, we remove the old grass and prepare the base. But a dead lawn sometimes has a fixable cause, like shade, drainage or pests, so it is fair to ask whether reviving it makes sense. We will tell you what we see on the visit, and you decide.

What yard work will I still have to do?

Less than a grass lawn, but not none. Plan on clearing leaves and debris, brushing the surface now and then to keep it even, and rinsing or spot cleaning where needed. If you have pets, pick up waste and rinse regularly.

Will it look fake from the street?

Looks depend on the turf and on seeing it in real light. Ask for samples at your home and compare them morning and evening. Our gallery shows real finished lawns so you can judge what the finished work looks like.

Will my HOA let me put turf in the front yard?

That is up to your HOA, and we cannot promise approval. Check your rules and get written approval before you order, especially for a front yard. Our Texas HOA guide explains what to look for, and we can help with your layout and materials details. In Missouri City, a neighbor's turf is not proof that yours is allowed. Bring your association name and the product, footprint and layout you propose.

How hot does artificial grass get in Houston?

It gets hot in direct summer sun. Our standard installation includes cooling infill, but infill does not make the surface safe for bare feet or paws, and we do not quote a temperature drop. Think about shade, rinse before use on hot afternoons and check the surface with your hand.

How much will I really save on watering?

We do not make a savings promise because it depends on your current lawn and bills. Turf does not need regular watering the way grass does, but you may rinse it for cleaning or cooling. Look at your own water bills before deciding.

Can I replace just the part of the yard I use most?

Yes. A partial replacement is something we can review on site: the play area, a side yard, or the patch that keeps dying. Tell us where the yard gets used most and we will quote that scope. Mark planted borders and irrigation zones that will stay, and we quote just the activity area.

What happens to my sprinklers and drainage?

Drainage is part of our standard installation, not a paid add-on, along with base preparation and old-grass haul-away. On the visit we look at the sprinkler heads and lines and where water sits. Unusual site work, if the yard needs it, is listed as a separate disclosed scope in your quote. We cannot prevent flooding. Point out irrigation zones that stay and where rinse water should go.

What does replacement cost when the turf wears out?

We cannot give a replacement figure today, and we will not guess a lifespan. Ask what is covered in the written warranty and how wear and replacement are handled. A future job will be quoted in writing for your yard at that time.
