Heat in Texas sun
Turf can get hot in direct sun. We will look at shade and when your dogs use the yard, and explain the limits before you choose. Rinsing before afternoon use and checking with your hand helps. Read the heat guide.

You are here because
After every rain, the door-to-fence path turns to mud and you are wiping paws, floors and towels again.
You have rinsed and the odor returned. You want to know what actually controls it, not another promise.
You worry about hot surfaces for paws and about when the dogs can safely go out.
You do not want to swap mowing for a daily hose-down. You want a routine you can realistically keep up.
You want to sit outside with guests without thinking about the dog toilet corner.
Digging, worn edges and repeat potty spots are why you want to see what is covered in writing.
Real finished projects
These are photos of real TurfMastro finished projects from our gallery. They are not before and after pairs, and they are not all pet yards. They show the installation quality you can expect: clean edges, flat surfaces and tidy transitions. Ask us for a similar finished yard to compare on the visit.

How it works
We walk the yard, see where your dogs go and where water sits, then give you a price for the full scope.
Old surface out, base compacted for drainage, turf installed with edges and seams secured.
We walk the finished yard with you, go over the cleaning routine, and hand over the written warranty.

We will show where rinse water and rainwater are intended to go. That comes down to the base, the grade and the outlet, which we assess on site. Turf is not flood protection. Read the drainage guide.
We plan around how many dogs use the area and where they go. Your routine is pick up solids, rinse, and use an enzyme cleaner. Turf still needs regular cleaning, and no turf is odor-free.
If your HOA has rules, check them before you order, especially for a visible front or side yard. We cannot promise approval. See the Texas HOA turf rules guide.
You see the whole installed scope in your quote: access, removal, base and drainage work, and any minimum project charge. Pet turf is quoted separately after we see the site. Request a free quote.
Ten questions before buying
It can. The smell comes from bacteria breaking down urine, and heat and humidity speed that up. Odor control depends on the whole system: a base that lets liquid pass through, picking up solids right away, rinsing, and a regular enzyme cleaner. No turf is odor-free, and we will not tell you otherwise.
Pick up solids first and do not rinse them in. Rinse the main potty zones with a hose, apply a bacterial enzyme cleaner on a regular schedule, and brush out hair and debris. More dogs and heavier use mean more frequent rinsing. Tell us your dog count at the quote so the routine is realistic for your yard.
In direct sun it can be. We will look at shade and when your dogs use the yard, and explain the limits before you choose. Rinse the turf before afternoon use in summer and check the surface with the back of your hand. We do not claim any turf stays cool.
Liquid passes through the turf backing and drains into the compacted base below, which is why the base matters. Some stays in the infill and backing until it is rinsed or cleaned, which is why rinsing and enzyme cleaner still matter. We look at where water is meant to go during the on-site visit.
It depends on why the yard holds water. Clay soil, grade and where the water has to go all affect it. We look at the low spots and outlets in person and tell you what base and drainage work the yard needs. Turf does not prevent flooding, and we will not promise that.
Some dogs dig at edges or seams, especially along fence lines. We discuss how edges and seams will be secured and where your dog tends to dig. We cannot call any turf dog-proof. Ask what the written warranty covers and what it excludes before you decide.
The turf is only part of it. A pet area is planned around how many dogs use it, where they go, how water drains through the base, and which infill goes in. Regular turf is usually planned around looks and foot traffic. Ask which infill is in your quote and why.

Often it can be done, but the slab has to be assessed first: its slope, existing drains, transitions at the edges and the drainage layer that suits it. Urine does not simply soak through concrete, so we plan where rinse water will go before quoting.
We provide a written warranty, and the details are in your written quote and agreement. Ask us to walk you through what it covers and what it excludes, including odor, seams and edges, before you sign. We do not guess coverage on this page.
